PREMIER LEAGUE (2nd) - bye
FEMALE BOOM (7th) v ACL lost by 4 runs lost
In their first match back since the break, the girls played out a nailbiter.
In restricting ACL to 4-122, Kate Dobber (2-10) and Michelle Dobber (1-1) picked up wickets, while Dilani Nimmi bowled three tight overs for just five runs.
We were right in the chase but fell marginally short.
Kate (12*) Deb Furlonge (10*), Tiana Plumbridge (16*), Mel Denman (25*) and Dilani (13*) batted brilliantly to get us to 2-118.
A-GRADE - BLACK (3rd) v Beaconsfield - won by 111 runs
In our biggest bout of the season, the whole team stood tall ensuring a great win at home.
Batting first, we posted 9-213 with Dean Stephens (34) and Ivo Agostini (27) setting a solid platform for Adam House to open his shoulders for a well crafted 62 of 45 deliveries.
That together with mid-teen contributions set us up perfectly.
In defence, our attack was disciplined with Dion Beams (3-24) and Ashley Smith (3-19) leading the charge.
A-GRADE - RED (8th) v Perth - lost by 5 wickets
Batting first we scratched our way to 9-131 with skipper Tommy Walker (40) and Jack Ikin (15) putting on 56 for the opening stand.
Will Grey struck a handy 32 down the order to get us to what we thought was defendable total with solid bowling.
And our bowlers were solid, but it wasn't to be with the hosts managing to pass the total in 28 overs with Will (2-27) and Josh Walker (2-27) the top performers.
B-GRADE (5th) v Trevallyn - lost by 70 runs
In the field first, a well-stocked Trevallyn managed a big score of 7-242 despite Damon Prince's 3-31.
Gareth Hamilton (1-24) and Terry Plumbridge (1-20) were the other wicket-takers.
With the bat, we put a lot of pride on our wickets with several batsmen getting a start.
Max Reissig (27), Ian Labrooy (39) and Adrian Hinds (24) lead the way but unfortunately, we fell short.
C-GRADE (4th) v Perth - won by 40 runs
On a stinking hot day at Perth Oval, we were sent into bat and made our way 180 from 37.3 overs.
Jason Thomas again made a half-century (53) and put on a 67-run second-wicket partnership with Corey Martin (25) before Ji Cooley (20), Jake Laskey (12) and Mat Williams (22) finished off with some late hitting.
The Demons pushed us in the field at 2-72 at 15 overs.
However, three quick wickets from there had us back on top and in a position to control the game.
Jas collected 4-25, while Tayne Thomas picked up 3-26, Ged Neskovcin 1-38, Willo 1-39 and Laskey 1-1.
UNDER-16s v South Launceston - lost by 6 wickets
