FEMALE BOOM (7th) v Evandale - Lost by 7 runs
Bowling first, Evandale manged 5-140 despite Mel Denman's 2-26, Angela Riley's 1-14 and Tiana Plumbridge's 1-22.
With the bat, we lost too many regular wickets and ended up 4-74.
Kate Dobber (12), Deb Furlonge (10*), Mel (12*), Tiana (10*) and Ange (10) all reached double figures with plenty of good shots.
PREMIER LEAGUE (1st) v Perth - won by 5 wickets
The lads continued their good form with another victory.
Perth's 6-148 look a challenge when we were 5-98 in pursuit, however, an unbeaten sixth-wicket partnership between Dilan Jayalath (53*) and Deepak Singh (21*) got us over the line.
Thanuka Dabare (25) also chipped while six of our bowlers picked up a wicket each with Deepak the best with 1-12 off seven overs.
A-GRADE - BLACK (4th) v Whitemore - won by 183 runs
On the small ground at St Pats for the first time, we compiled 7-292 in what was almost the complete team batting display.
Dean Stephens (57) and Stuart Prewer (54) led the charge with half centuries, while there were also solid contributions from Stephen Smith (43), Travis Crisp (30*) and Kyle Strochnetter (23).
In defence, we dismissed the visitors in 26 overs, with Kobe Harris claiming man of the match honours with his 6-28.
He was well supported by Matt Green (2-18), Kyle (1-16) and Riley Prewer (1-8).
A-GRADE - RED (6th) v Launceston Nepali - lost by 7 wickets
At Start Solar Park for the first time this year, 182 batting first looked a competitive score.
Alan Eadie (48), Tom Walker (34) were the standouts with plenty of other batsmen getting starts in a workman-like team effort.
However, our bowling scratch wasn't up to scratch with Tommy (3-31) the only one that managed to breakthrough as Nepali won with six overs to spare.
B-GRADE (3rd) v George Town- won by 6 wickets
We managed to set the hosts 220 for victory after a solid batting display - losing just six wickets.
But George town managed to hunt it down in 37.3 overs.
(Individual HCC performance unknown due to MyCricket. Will be updated when available).
C-GRADE (5th) v Longford - lost by 2 wickets
In an entertaining, hard-fought encounter we just missed out and a great triumph in Nick Young's 150th match.
We finished 7-169 after Jason Thomas (20) and Youngy (24) got us off to a great start before a minor collapse brought Terry Plumbridge and Paul Degetto together.
The pair just fell short of a 100-run fifth-wicket stand before Paulie was forced to retire hurt on 23, while Tez went on to finish on 44 and Mat Williams struck a late 27.
In the field, we were down 1 fielder for the entire match and a large chuck two men before Erin Martin stepped up and helped us out.
Poor field was our downfall after Tayne Thomas found himself on a hattrick in claiming 3-18 off 8 overs.
Jas collected 2-41, while Tez and Martin Dicker picked up on each.
