ROUND 2 WASHUP

PREMIER LEAGUE def Beaconsfield by 176 runs
Batting first, Nathan Balym and Thanuka Dabare got us off to a good start with Nath (12) the first to all with the score on 78. His opening partner went on to score 87 off 48 balls, before Dilan Jayalath compiled 31 amidst a minor collapse. Liam Reynolds (51 off 48) and Alan Eadie (27) put on a half-century partnership before another tumble going for late run saw us finish 8-243.
In defence, we couldn't have got off to a better start - dominating the Swans from ball one. Kyle Strochnetter picked up 3-3 off three, while DJ (3-25) and Jona P Watts (2/32) did the rest to dismiss the hosts for just 67.
Vishwa was superb in the field - effecting 2 runouts in a complete team performance.

A-RESERVE lt Longford by 48 runs
In the field to start, we struggled to take early wickets which helped Longford set up its 6-205 score.
Dion Beams (0-27) again bowled without luck, while Travis Crisp (2-28), Tommy TJ Walker (2-28), Matt Green (1-15 off 8) and Andrew House 1-31) all picked up scalps.
We got off to another good start in the chase with Damian Woods (48) and Ivo Agostini (26) putting on 78 for the first wicket.
However, from there regular wickets tumbled and a partnership couldn't be found to pull us out of trouble. Adam Richards and Crispy both finished with 18 before we were dismissed for 157 in the 38th over.

B-GRADE def Bishopsbourne by 15 runs
Back for his first game of the season, Stephen Smith anchored the innings to set Bishopsbourne 195 for victory.
Rexy hit a well compiled 98 off 124 balls at the top - falling with the score on 179. He had mild support from Clint Pease (28) in otherwise skim looking scorecard. There were several key minor partnerships late following a middle-order collapse with Josh Walker and Dave Smith finishing unbeaten on 10 each.
After a few early wickets, the hosts managed to put on an 80-wicket stand to be 4-123 before some good fielding and tighter bowling saw us fight back to win the match - bowling Bishopsbourne out for 179.
Dave ended up with 2-30, Mitchell Anderson 2-29, Matt Tidey 2-27, Dean Brown 1-23 and Peasey 1-19.
Great hard-fought victory.

C-GRADE lt Evandale by nine wickets
Sent into bat, Jason Thomas (16) and Gareth Hamilton (21) saw off the openers before falling quickly after with the score 2-48.
A middle-order fall had us in trouble at 5-73 before a 33-run stand between Max Reissig (12) and Corey Martin (24) was followed by handy contributions from @Damon Prince (16), @Zac Reissig (10) and @Sara Gail (6*) got us to 145.
However, our bowling and fielding was not up to scratch from ball one in defence, with Evandale rocketing to victory with 15 overs spare and just 1 wicket down.
Maxy picked up the only wicket thanks to a superb catch from Jason Thomas.
